About Mila - Located in Albert Park
Mila is stunning, and as beautiful within as without. She's affectionate, gentle, clever & brave beyond measure. She's only just building the confidence to play & to actively ask for affection - rather than passively receive it. But a calm & loving guardian will help her achieve these milestones & bring out more of her personality, likely to have been suppressed by years of hardship. In return, she'll soothe stress & bring happiness & immense beauty to a very lucky guardian or family.
Mila was reluctantly surrendered on 1 April 2021 due to overseas migration. Only as she recovered from that upheaval in fostercare, was a long-term & likely painful paw injury discovered & successfully treated (see vet notes, below). Despite her masked suffering, Mila didn't show any aggression to her carer or vet staff - quite the contrary. She loves being patted, brushed & lying on or beside her fostermum. She purrs readily, even while being carried, but isn't demanding or overly vocal and has impeccable house manners.
She's less trusting of non-humans: initially hissy with dogs & unfamiliar cats (as most cats are). While she may not need another animal for company if her human(s) are mostly home; she grew up with other cats & a small dog, & is adjusting fairly quickly to the new animals in her current fosterhome. So she'll likely be happy either as a solo cat with a guardian who's able to offer her their time and affection during the day; or paired with a similarly easygoing male cat; & will tolerate a calm & gentle dog or two. She has not yet been tested for her response to children, but her gentleness, warmth & relaxed nature suggest she could suit similar-natured children.
If she sounds well-suited to you & your home, please complete an enquiry form & her fostercarer will respond ASAP.

Medical notes
Mila was surrendered 1 April 2021 with a severely overgrown right dew claw, impaling her paw pad and generating severe infection. Treatment was highly successful, but the wound site on pad must be monitored for 2-3 months, in case latent infection emerges, requiring antibiotics etc. Also, since Mila is now considered prone to overgrown claws, she will need her claws (particularly dew claws) checked and clipped as required, around monthly. Fortunately, she's been extraordinarily accommodating of this & all other treatment, to date.
