About Jason
Hi, my name is Jason! You may look at me and see a beautiful goofball blue black greyhound, but secretly I am a genius!
The Leonardo da Vinci of Hounds, I love to learn, invent, create and explore. Recently I’ve been working on some avant garde deconstructionist works, titled Shredded Bedding, but my friends at Greysland think if my big brain was kept busy with lots of enrichment activities, I might use my intelligence for something even better - maybe I will invent a chicken nugget tree!
I will need a human assistant who can help me get used to the big wide world - I’ve still got to get used to all those weird things like walks, and dogs that aren’t greyhounds. But I’m so smart and curious that, with lots of encouragement and chicken, I will learn the ropes in no time.
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, fill out an application form and the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue will get on the case. Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way. Get in touch to find out more!
Adoption details
All of Greyhound Rescue's adoption and foster placements are on a case-by-case basis. We go to great lengths to match each dog with their new family to make sure that both dog and family are happy. We offer post-adoption support to our rescue community so that each adoptive family and hound are cared for.
The first step is to complete the application form on our website. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Greyhound Rescue's adoption fee is $420. All our hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested and treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
