About Clyde
CLYDE is an adorable male kelpie x puppy, born around 1 February, 2021. What his breed mix is, we have no idea. However, he's predominantly kelpie in looks and temperament.
A classic black and tan, Clyde is super sweet, very cuddly, highly intelligent, alert and very trainable. He's already mastered toilet-training.
Described by his foster mum as "a perfect puppy", he is so well-behaved and well-balanced that his foster mum has allowed him to sleep in her bed, which is a h-u-g-e concession for this foster mum.
Kelpies can make great family pets, loyal companions and excellent watchdogs. They have an exceptionally high IQ and may get into mischief if left to their own devices. They require plenty of exercise, and will become bored if stuck in a backyard for lenthy periods without stimulation or company.
The secret to bringing the best out in a kelpie is to keep him occupied and well loved.
A kelpie's greatest joy is the love and attention of an active owner or family, while his greatest disappointment is inactivity and lack of attention.
Kelpies are eager to please and extremely loyal. Wherever their humans are, that's where they'll be too - whether that's out in a boat, in the back of a car, going for a walk, training for agility competitions or herding, or just watching television in the evening.
To be happy and content, CLYDE will need plenty of vigorous daily exercise and play. Secure fencing is a must.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another dog for Clyde to play with.
If you are interested in meeting Clyde and can offer him a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Clyde's adoption fee is $795 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
