About Rocco
I AM A FOSTER WITH VIEW TO ADOPT
I was surrendered to Lort Smith with my canine friend, however, she did not enjoy my company and became quite anxious when I was around. For this reason, it was decided to rehome us separately. This was not an easy decision for the staff to make, and it was not taken lightly.
I would love an active but quieter home, with someone that has experience with the boxer breed. Ideally someone who is home more often than not.
I am extremely tactile, adore cuddles, pats and being by my handler’s side.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to be rehomed with any other animals. Due to my lack of exposure as a puppy and adult dog, I will require careful socialisation around other animals. It would be wonderful if my new adopters take me to one-on-one dog training, to help with working on my behaviours around other dogs.
When I arrived at Lort Smith, it was noted that I had a skin infection. I am currently on a long course on antibiotics to help treat this.
Whilst in Lort Smith's care, my eye become inflamed and sore. After further assessment, it was found that I would need to have surgery on my eye to help relieve pressure. The friendly staff will be able to tell you more about the medical side of things.
Due to my older age, I do have some arthritic changes, which are currently under medical management in the form of injections every few months.
If you think you could love an adorable face like mine, please contact the Lort Smith Adoption Hub.
