About Alexandrite
A note from my foster dad:
Alexandrite is the epitome of adventure, and truly takes the name of curiosity when it comes to cats. She has no fear when exploring any environment that she's introduced to, (so keep some doors shut if there's a room you don't want her entering). But while she loves a good zoom through the house, or pouncing on fluffy toys that are just her size, she absolutely adores cuddling with people above all else. Although sleek and agile during the day, she quickly becomes a poofed up bundle of joy and warmth as she purrs the night away, curled up on your lap or in the crook of your arm. Alex is astounding with her own confidence and sense of self, and she has no issue socializing with other cats or people. She is almost guaranteed to seamlessly slot into any loving family that she joins, as she quickly plays about and cuddles with every member of the household. She is perhaps one of the cattiest of cats to have ever been, and you are sure to delight in her tiny chirps and impressive hops as she enjoys the opportunities that life has given her.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
