About Roxy8
Roxy was found abandoned on the corner of Summerland Way and Clarence Way on Christmas Eve. Her owner was tracked down only to find out that she had given Roxy away to a friend 2-3 weeks before. She could not keep her as she was in a rental that did not allow animals and had insufficient fencing for a dog such as Roxy. Over the Christmas weekend she came and officially surrendered Roxy to Happy Paws Haven. She is a happy friendly dog who loves to play ball and be part of a family. She would be better as an only dog but is happy with dogs of similar or smaller size so she does not feel threatened. We have had her Vet checked, we microchipped her, vaccinated her and had her de-sexed ready for her new home.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
