Minnesota is the most loving and snuggly boofhead around. She is a 31kg lapdog who makes a cosy blanket and heat pack. She is happiest when with her humans and may let the neighbourhood know if you have gone off on adventures without her. Even if those adventures are just to Coles for an hour. She has been working on using her inside voice instead, but it will take time. Minnesota also likes to rearrange things like her bedding when bored.
At almost 6 years old she still has puppylike tendencies such as bouncing in excitement, inside zoomies, mild mouthing and isn't quite sure how to play with other dogs, often forgetting her size and how to contain her exuberance. She can get excited when walking and sees another potential new canine friend - she may yell out a greeting or will begrudgingly follow your distraction and keep meandering along, depending on how you guide her to respond. Like with all dogs, introductions need to be controlled and for Minnesota to feel safe, she isn't a big fan of "in your face" types and may give a warning if they cross a line. You will need to be able to read her and set her up for success.
She is great and gentle with people of all ages, generally ignores the cats (she gets excited if they go running around) and has been amazing with the small dogs she has been in care with. She does have some mild resource guarding issues around high value treats and when snoozing, so will need to continue her learning for a harmonious household if there is another dog around.
Minnesota's favourite things are people, food, car rides, couch cuddles, walks and sleeping. She travels beautifully in the car, sleeps soundly inside at night, is a doggy door master and apart from the occasional tug at an exciting smell she is great on lead.
This girl is truly a gem who just loves love.

Medical notes
Minnesota skips on her back left leg. Xrays have shown mild laxity in her left hip, which will just need to be monitored for now, it does not affect her in any way. If she starts displaying discomfort or pain when she is older it will need to be reviewed.
