About Max10
Max was surrendered because his owner could not afford to look after him anymore. He had only had Max for six months and did not realise what a larger dog costs to look after. He had also recently got a full time job and not longer had time to give Max what he needed. Max is very wary of strangers he prefers if you do not look him in the eye directly once he gets to know you he is fine. I have advised everyone when you go into his yard just ignore him and go ahead clean and feed. after a while Max will gain the courage to come up and sniff you and get to know you. He is an anxious dog so he have been putting an adaptil collar on him to calm him. He gets on fine with other dogs and he is getting use to people too. He would be suited to a quiet home without noisy children he would love to be someone's best mate and constant companion. He is a gentle soul so enjoys gentle soothing music and being stroked.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
