About Ash ~Dogue de Bordeaux X(On Trial 22/5/21)
Hi! I’m Ash (affectionately know as Ashy) and I’m a 6 year old female Dogue de Bordeaux x Neo Mastiff and I’m available for adoption!
I’m a big boof head that looooves to give slobbery kisses in return for plenty of pats and cuddles. I’m affectionate and crave regular love and attention. I’m well behaved and would respond well to some extra training - I know how to sit and wait, walk on a lead and play with other dogs. My recall needs some work but I don’t wander too far when off lead.
In my early years I was loved and well cared for but due to a change in circumstances, I am looking now for my forever home with Dog Rescue Newcastle. In my old home I was always an outside dog and when I got bored or lonely I’d often dig a hole under the fence and go off wandering. In my foster home, I’m living with 3 other dogs (1 girl, 2 boys) and enjoy the company but sometimes I don’t realise my size and during play time I can become a little boisterous! I’m now allowed to sleep inside - and I LOVE it! If you leave your bedroom door open at night, I’ll probably pop by for a cuddle or two. If I’m allowed on the couch you can expect me to curl up next to you. I am toilet trained, however I’ve had a couple of accidents overnight as I am still settling in.
I like to play ball and tug of war in a park or at the beach, but my favourite thing to do is walk and sniff. I’m a curious girl who loves exploring my surroundings. Car rides can make me queasy but I’m getting better at the them.
I’m looking for a family with older children due to my size and strength and that will consider me to be a member of the family. I’d like a home where I’m allowed inside when my parents are home and that won’t always leave me behind when they’re off on adventures. I’m good with other dogs but I can’t live with small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs or chickens. I am unsure about cats. I need secure fencing (at least 5ft) and I’d like to be in a home with another dog if my parents/family are going to leave me alone during the day. I can be a bit of a sook if l am left by myself for long periods.
I have so much love to give and my foster parents are confident that I’m going to make a great addition to any family.
