About Maisey ~ Boxer X Mastiff Puppy(On Trial 10/5/21)
Hi! My name is Maisey, and I am a 10 week old Boxer x mastiff puppy girl and I am now looking for my forever home. I currently live with 3 big active dogs and I am having so much fun playing rough and tumble with them. I am a confident and brave pup and have no problems keeping up with the big dogs. I also live with some horses and chickens and I am learning how to respect them too. I have just had my first vaccination and I am ready to go to a beautiful loving family. I am going to be a big girl, but I am sweet, loving, affectionate and gentle. I love my toys but I love playing chase and tackle more. I’m also a bit of a sooky girl and love a big cuddle more than anything, the more attention the better.
I will grow up to be a large dog, and will need to attend puppy training classes and continued obedience training due to my size and breed. I am at the puppy stage where I am biting a lot and chewing things so I will need consistency in my training. I will also need a family that understands that I have plenty of energy and will need a daily walk and lots of room to run, as well as plenty of mental stimulation to keep me happy and healthy.
At the end of a long day of running and playing I love nothing more than to snuggle up with my humans for a cuddle. For this reason I would love to go to a home where I am welcomed inside. I have started to learn toilet training and seeing as I am so smart I will pick it up in no time. I am also learning to be crate trained. It would be great if someone worked part time in the household, particularly if there isn’t another dog to hang out with. I will make a lovely family dog with my good nature, but small children could be a risk as I will grow to be a big boisterous dog. Secure 5-6ft fencing will be needed with no small gaps, unfortunately rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.
Before applying for me, I have some questions for you to consider:
-Have you thought about loving and caring for me for the next 12-15 years - maybe even longer ?
-I am a furever dog not just a COVID dog
-I won’t be a little puppy for long and will get up to mischief as I become a teenager. Are you ready for that?
-Have you thought about my extra puppy meals throughout the day?
-Will somebody be home more often than not to keep me socialised?
-I will most likely be a large adult so do you have solid and tall fencing (5-6 foot) to keep me safe?
-I won’t suit an apartment , courtyards or a small yard. I need a medium to large yard to play and rumble in!
-Have you thought about my ongoing physical training and mental stimulation (enrichment games) so that I don't get bored and destructive?
-Will I have access to inside at all times to ensure that I am a part of your family?
I'm watching and learning from you from the moment I open my eyes. Being inside and being a part of your family means that I will learn what leads to praise and reward and what doesn't. Being under supervision also means I learn boundaries (crucial as I grow older) and means I am less likely to develop nuisance behaviours due to boredom.
