About Teddy ~ 9mo Kelpie X(On Trial 2/7/21)
Meet Teddy - Teddy is a 9 month old male Australian kelpie x Short-haired border collie. Teddy is an assisted adoption and will live with his current owners until he finds his forever home.
Teddy is looking for a home that understands this breed and can offer him a suitable environment to meet his needs.
Teddy is very energetic and loves to play and go for long walks. He is also a very affectionate dog and loves cuddles. Teddy will need lots of attention and patience from his new family. Teddy loves his toys (especially squeaky toys) and loves water and ball games.
Teddy is mainly an outside dog but loves to come in for cuddles on the lounge. Teddy will need a big backyard/property to run around in and suitable 6ft fencing.
Teddy has had basic training but will need to his training to be reinforced, especially on the lead. He would benefit from more training and even agility training. He is very intelligent and needs activities to promote his training and prevent boredom. He needs a daily run and would make an ideal running companion.
Teddy can get along with most dogs but will need to be introduced as he is a bit shy and unsure of how to interact with dogs he meets and is a bit over reactive when he meets another dog for the first time and has not been introduced to any off leash parks. He currently lives with 2 senior Maltese terriers who put up with his behaviours. He is not suited to a home with cats. Due to his training needs he would be better suited to a home as an only dog.
Due to his boisterous nature he is best suited to a home without young children but he loves people and human companionship.

Teddy is located in Lemon Tree Passage NSW (North of Newcastle NSW). His adoption fee is $500 and will include desexing which is scheduled this month.
