Maya is a shy sensitive girl. She loves her family and people she trusts, but struggles with strangers and new situations, can be nippy to strangers . She doesnât require a lot of exercise, just a regular walk, ball play and more ball play.
Maya is fun and goofy and loves being at home with people. She is happy to lay in the sun all day and save her energy for ball play. She needs regular brushing and she sleeps inside and is housetrained.
She responds to the word frisbee which is hilarious and she loves those. She is really happy and loves walks but still a bit funny around other people and dogs.
Please make sure you have read the whole profile and address her needs in your online written application using the link below.
This means things like âwe read that maya isnât great with kids, thatâs ok, we are homebodies and donât have small kids around anywayâ
Or âour last dog was very shy as well and we managed perfectly fineâ
And good one is â I read Maya can be nippy with strangers, we totally understandâ
You will need to show us that youâve read and understood the criteria before we can give you a call to arrange a meeting.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Hereâs some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
đ± Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the petâs bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
đŸ Details about your family
đĄ Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
