Koata is a beautiful brindle boy who loves his humans. His ideal day is to be at or under your feet at all times, whether you are watching TV, gardening, or going for a nice long stroll. If there is the odd stuffed toy to chew the nose off, even better.

He has been fostering with primary school aged kids and has been a very good boy. He does need to be watched with small kids as when he is in ‘play mode’ he stops being calm and does jump up. Although is getting better as knowing how big he is. Older dog-savvy kids would be best.

He has not been fostered with other dogs or cats but meets these on walks and only wants to play. He is good on the lead and getting better. Does pull when seeing another dog still, but will probably grow out of this with some consistent gentle correction.

Koata’s foster family has had no luck getting him to sleep in another room or stay outside for short periods, as he is anxious when left alone. This will need to be done slowly. Warning: he sneaks in to sleep at the end of the kids’ bed when he thinks no one is looking!

It is hard to get a great photo of Koata unless he is sleeping because as soon as someone pays him a second of attention, the tail and whole body starts wiggling.
