Raina ~ 12 week old female (on trial 7/6/2021)

Raina is such a gorgeous, cuddly and independent kitty that has the most amazing markings and personality! You cannot go past her.

IMPORTANT READ CAREFULLY: Raina has been diagnosed with scoliosis. Two of her vertebrae have failed to grow and have caused a spinal curve. Raina’s veterinary prognosis is a potentially shorter life span, possible arthritis, and ongoing weight management to ensure no extra pressure is put on her spine. The specialist has said that cats are resilient animals and as long as she is monitored when playing, jumping and climbing, she should live a happy and healthy life. Raina cannot rough play with children or animals so an older cat for company would be great.

Raina and her siblings were found in a backyard, abandoned by their mum at 2.5weeks old. Even though she had a rough start, she took to bottle feeding well and soon solids like a pro! Raina LOVES food and is using her litter well.

Raina is confident, playful, and loves to explore. She was the first to take to the cat tower and will always get right to the top and cry until she gets help to get down. Raina loves toys, the tunnel and scratching pole. Any scratching towers in her future home will need to be on the smaller side so that she isn’t encouraged to jump from high places.

Raina seeks cuddles with her favourite human and will snuggle into their neck and chest. Raina is also great with dogs and other cats.

Due to Raina’s condition she will need a home with someone home more often than not to monitor her, and children no younger that 12 who understand that they need to be gentle with her.

Raina could benefit from a companion animal however they would need to be older and calm so that there is no rough play.

DRN cats and kittens must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in.

Since Raina is too young to be desexed she will need to be adopted locally in the Newcastle, Central Coast or Hunter area so she can be returned before she is 4 months to a DRN approved vet for desexing which is included in her adoption fee as well as microchipping and first kitten vaccination. Her adoption fee is $250 and she is located in Singleton.
