About Bruce DL2650
Bruce is a very sweet senior dog, looking for a comfortable place to enjoy his golden years. He is super cruisy and laid-back, he has such a wonderful nature.
Bruce loves being around people. If you're looking for snuggles, he is more than happy to join you. If you'd like some space, he's just as happy to cuddle up in a bed of his own and nap. As long as he's near you, he doesn't mind!
Bruce loves his walks. He is a very good boy and he rarely pulls on his lead. He is a bit of a slow mover, as he really likes to sniff and explore the outdoors. He loves meeting new people. He is friendly when passing by other dogs and is not at all reactive.
Bruce sits and shakes a paw when treats are offered, as he absolutely loves treats. He is very food motivated and loves words of praise and encouragement. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out to go to the washroom.
At this stage in his life, Bruce doesn't enjoy being home alone all day, and we know he'll feel most comfortable with owners who spend more time at home. He'd make a wonderful work from home colleague, or companion to an active retiree or perhaps part timer. He hasn't yet met kids/cats.
If you're looking for a wrinkly bear to watch sunsets, or potter in the garden with, Bruce is the one for you. Email DFLadoption@gmail.com today to apply.
Medical notes
At 26kg, Bruce is a medium to large sized dog. Bruce has cataracts and weepy eyes. Perineal hernia being monitored by our vet (may require future surgery). He is medicated for urinary incontinence and arthritis. He'll need soft bedding to help heal and avoid further sores on pressure points. He does have some other lumps and bumps that are benign and don't require removal, and does not require a dental at this stage.
