About Kent
Allow us to re-introduce the wonderful Kent a one year old American staffy who found himself back here at BARC after a change in his owners circumstances.
This big strong boy is certainly a contender for strong man competitions and will need someone physically capable of keeping up with him whilst they put some work into his training.... and let me assure you this is one boy with a lot of smarts who has quickly picked up on all the training we have provided him with at BARC.
Kent has recently been a media star appearing in one of our Facebook posts and he loved the attention and proved quite photogenic with that big head and goofy smile of his.
Affection is certainly one of Kent's best traits and this loyal boy is not backwards in coming forwards with big sloppy kisses, giant bear hugs and lots of body wagging when he greets you.
Kent would rather live as an only dog to ensure he gets all the attention but may be suited to a home with a well-mannered calm female dog looking for a playmate. If you have children big enough to not be pushed around by this muscly excitable boy and willing to throw a ball for him all day please let us know.
If Kent sounds just like the 4 legged companion you've been wanting in your life and you're ready for all the challenges of owning a big strong dog whilst committing to his training then please call BARC reception on 5441-2209.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
