About Aspen
About Aspen (hearing impaired).....
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Aspen is super affectionate and playful. If you're after a kitty that is aloof and leaves you alone then she's not your girl. Aspen is also hearing impaired, as is often the case with white animals. This doesn't prevent her from living a full life, however it does impact on a number of things - she most definitely can not be allowed to go outside, ever! The big wide world is too dangerous for a kitty that can't hear. She is also a talker and being hearing impaired means that she can get quite loud if she's left locked in a room on her own. Basically she wants what we all want, love and affection, the attention of her family and to be cherished as she deserves.
My Ideal Home:
As with all HAR kitties, Aspen is rehomed as indoor only, not only for her safety but for that of our native wildlife. This is even more important as she is hearing impaired. Aspen has now been returned to care twice - the first time because she was too loud and needy, and now because she was being beaten up by the resident puppy and cat. Aspen is a beautiful girl and we are really looking for her forever home and don't want her to continue on this cycle. Please consider her traits -
* super affectionate
* hearing impaired
* needs to be allowed to be part of the family and not separated as she'll cry
* very playful
If you feel that you can offer this beautiful girl a home please complete the adoption application.
What is Known About My Background:
Sweet Aspen has returned to care as the resident cat and puppy have been giving her a hard time. Being hearing impaired it's hard to see them sneak up on her and so she's on the look out of a family that will love and cherish her. Initially she came into care after being surrendered to the RSPCA.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Aspen has met other kitties and gotten along well with them, however may struggle with 'social queues' due to hearing impairment. She is great with a quiet, kitty friendly dog and loves children of all ages. The more affection and play time the better for Miss Aspen, however please remember that she may startle as she can't hear them coming, so they need to respect her and treat her gently.
