About Poppy
Poppy is one of the most gentle souls that you could ever meet. Whilst her past life left her broken and seeing more than she should ever have seen, we guaranteed her that her time in foster care would be the very best time that she could ever dream of.
From a little girl who couldn’t walk without cowering to a girl who loves going for walks and will now run to her foster family in excitement.
A little girl who couldn’t dare be in the same room as the monster aka TV now naps calmly on the couch whilst the TV is on in the background.
A little girl who hid from her foster family. Completely broken and lost, now lays in her foster dads arms in content joy.
Poppy has thrived in care, she has been loved and nurtured by the most amazing human foster carers, her foster brother (boomer the Labrador) and the leader of the free world (Zeus the cat). She has learnt that although life can at times be scary that it also comes with an abundance of love and rewards.
Poppy is looking for a very particular home, she must have another dog with her 24/7, she would love a dog friendly cat. She needs a calm and quiet family who will continue to nurture her but also guide her through any bumps in the road.
Poppy is best suited to some one with a smaller yard ie concrete or bricked (around the edges) courtyard/townhouse or a beagle proof yard.
Poppy would love a family who work from home/part time workers or retired family/individual. A family where she will sleep indoors, go for daily walks .
Poppy has met multiple children whilst in care and has been fine with them. We would however prefer her to go to a home with children aged 14 and above so she is not overwhelmed by so many changes at once.
If you would like to help poppy continue her journey into happiness and love please fill in our online application form https://beaglerescuevic.org/adopt/adoption-application-form/
