About Chloe
FOSTER or FOSTER WITH A VIEW TO ADOPT
Chloe is a young girl with a load of potential, seeking a committed and loving family to help her thrive and grow into her best self.
She is a kelpie x bull arab who is only 10 months old so really just a big puppy.
Chloe is excitable, happy and sure to make you smile.
She knows some basic training and is house trained, but lacks some self control and needs patient, positive reinforcement training to help her be a great Canine citizen.
Chloe has been around kids and loves them, though with her energetic bouncy nature, young children could get overwhelmed or knocked over. So kids who are confident about dogs, or older children, would be best.
She has limited experience with other dogs. At this stage we would prefer that Chloe be the only dog in the home so that she can be introduced slowly to new canine friends. A calm and social male dog in the home may be a possibility.
Chloe has had some experience with chickens and cats and seemed mostly uninterested in them, but introductions need to be slow and sensible.
Chloe is a highly energetic girl thanks to her kelpie heritage. She needs lots of physical exercise but mental exercise is important too - getting started with training both at home and by attending group training classes will help put her intelligence to good use while building a strong bond between her and her new family.
If she is bored and unstimulated, Chloe will make her own fun by chewing things in the garden or 'helping' you by digging. But we're confident that with maturity and having her needs met, these behaviours will be overcome.
If you think you can offer a home to Chloe, please message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au and tell us about yourself and your home (the more info the better).
Ideally we hope to find a foster placement with a view to adoption.
There is no fee to foster, but if you decide to adopt the fee will be $450 including desexing, microchip and vaccinations.
