Hi, my name is Deer
I'm a sweet, friendly, confident little girl looking for my forever home. I absolutely love attention and would suit most households, but would likely do better in a calm, consistent household as I'm vision impaired. This means I'll need to be an indoor ONLY cat and have a consistent environment.

When I came into the care of RSPCA I was found to have eyelid agenesis in both eyes. Eyelid agenesis is a congenital defect of the eyelid which is where the upper eyelid is not formed properly. This results in the hairs along the eyelid margin being constantly in contact with the cornea of the eyes causing damage. While at the RSPCA I had surgical correction of my eyelids.

It is possible as I grow another surgical correction of my eyes may be required if the eyelids start to roll in and the hair causes irritation and trauma to my eyes. As part of my special adoption agreement I will require a revisit at the RSPCA in 3months time. After this the RSPCA advises my eyes are checked by a Veterinarian at least every 6months for the first 2 years then at least once a year after that.
