About Bobbie
There's a bit of a story behind BOBBIE, a 37.5 kg brindle male, thought to be a Mastiff x Boxer.
He was found in the middle of nowhere by a Good Samaritan, who took him in and tended to his wounds. Whatever Bobbie had been through we'll never know. Maybe he'd fallen out of a ute or been on the wrong side of a wild dog. Who knows? But he's healthy now and ready for a second chance at life.
Bobbie is a happy and playful boy. He loves people and is pretty comfortable with most dogs, though not all. There's probably a story behind that, too, but at this stage, he's not telling. It's fair to say he's not keen on cats.
Our vet's best estimate of his date of birth is 18 March 2019, which makes Bobbie just two years old. Barely more than a pup, really.
If you are interested in meeting Bobbie, the first step is to complete our online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and an ARK volunteer will be in touch.
Bobbie will NOT cope if left alone in a backyard for extended periods, so is not suitable to full-time workers. Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time. and there is at least one other dog around his size to play with. Secure fencing is essential.
His adoption fee is $395 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Applicants must be willing to travel to Warwick, Queensland to meet Bobbie.
