Barney ~ 4 month old (on trial 30/05/2021)

Barney is a handsome little fellow with his rare & gorgeous smokey coat and piercing yellow eyes.
Barney can be a little timid until he gets to know you but once you’re his mate, he is not shy about asking for pats and attention.

He enjoys playing with you and by himself and would be fine to live as an only cat. If Barney were to be adopted by a family with existing animals, it may take him a little while to warm up to them due to his timid nature and he will also need any children in the household to be older than 10 years of age.

Barney and his siblings, Wilma and Betty, were found in a cardboard box near a bus stop, obviously dumped but luckily a good samaritan found them and contacted Dog Rescue Newcastle to help.

They were all of 6 weeks old and very scared, but slowly they have become comfortable in their foster homes. Barney is a friendly and affectionate boy, and even though he is still a little frightened by loud noises and fast movements, he loves his humans and gets along well with any other animals in his house after a slow introduction.

DRN cats and kittens must be inside only unless you have a cat enclosure that they can have some outside time in.

Barney’s adoption fee is $250 which covers microchipping, desexing, and the first kitten vaccination. He is currently in foster care in Birmingham Gardens, NSW.
