Luna ~ 8mo Kelpie X(On Trial 01/04/21)

8 months old, black & white Female Kelpie X Luna is still a puppy and she loves to play with anything or anyone that’s around. She loves to jump around, roll around,
and splash around. Yes she loves water!

Luna also loves to lay with her foster family of humans, dogs and cats. She will lay at your feet, beside you on the lounge or in her doggy bed and sleep for as long as she can or until somebody else moves, then she likes to follow you and just be with you. She is a very loving girl and as soon as you touch her belly, she’s on her back for a belly rub. She is happy to lay with you and get belly rubs for as long as you will do it!

She is super sweet and an easy going little girl who just wants affection, and its returned 10 fold. Luna is going to be the most loyal best friend you can imagine.
She is also very vocal. She groans almost like a bear, like she is having the time of her life and is telling you how happy she is, and she is one happy puppy.

Luna would need an active family who has the time to spend with her and train her, as the Kelpie is a smart breed and needs stimulation. Luna does not need to run 10km’s a day and she is not overactive, but regular exercise and daily walks is a must for any dog.

Ideally Luna’s new home includes her as part of the family and allows her to come and go outside as she pleases. She is house trained and uses the doggy door. She likes company, so a place where someone is home most of the time or another playmate the same size would be perfect.
Luna does have a mini foxie play mate and they play and wrestle for hours, but sometimes she gets too excited and she needs to be calmed down, so small dogs and children would not be suited to Luna for that reason.

She does not bite when playing, she is almost gentle, but when she gets very excited she does tend to jump and those front legs are pretty strong.

Luna is currently living with two cats and two kelpies and they get along well. Luna gets along with everyone actually. And although Luna likes the cats, I wouldn’t recommend a home with cats as she tends to follow them and wants to play chase.
Luna hasn’t been tested with thunderstorms or fireworks yet, so supervision is a must when
expected to see how she reacts.

Luna’s adoption fee is $550 and she is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and she's been treated for fleas and worms. Bailey currently lives in Pelican NSW (Port Stephens NSW)
