Cracker - Meet me in Preston

Cracker knows his own mind. Mainly, he knows when it is time to be with you and to supervise any work at your desk. He will sit on your lap so that you aren’t tempted to get up for a cuppa, or on your shoulder to monitor your meetings, or on the desk just keeping an eye on you. If on your lap, he will suddenly reach up with both arms to stroke your face and direct you to gaze at him. Stroking will re-assure him that he is doing a sterling job.

When taking leave from being a personal assistant, Cracker likes to wrestle and run with his siblings. He will jump, tumble and tag in play but isn’t interested in climbing onto tables or benches to ‘play’ with ornaments and breakables. His preference is to play with other cats or to join a game of feather teaser, led by the humans.

Cracker is confident around people and other cats. He tolerates being picked up and cuddled but prefers to seek you out, and then snuggle beside you or rest his head on an available limb if your hands aren’t immediately available for a tickle. He will then purr, a lot, feigning sleep so that you don’t move. Cracker likes to play but he isn’t boisterous or rough, he’s a lover than a fighter.

Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW.
We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
