About Mika
Hi I’m Mika, I am a gorgeous 5 year and 6 month old Jack Russell Terrier x Mini Foxie x Staffy
My foster family have said that I’m an awesome cuddle buddy who is happy to chill when it’s quiet time and I love to play when it’s play time!
I can be nervous meeting new people but just give me a couple of days to settle and then you see my awesome personality.
I do prefer to have company with either my foster humans or foster fur siblings. My foster mum and dad have called me their little shadow once or twice. My dream home would be with someone who either works from home or doesn't work and is a home body.
I am still working on being a big girl when new people arrive - but if they just give me a moment to feel comfortable I am then happy to go up and say hi to them.
My foster siblings are similar size to me, I am not comfortable around dogs that are bigger then me (I currently stand 36 cms tall and weigh 8kgs)
I enjoy playing with my fur brother who is a foxie but I am still working on my manners at dinner time - my foster mum says that the easiest thing to do is to watch me while I eat and not close to the other dogs.
Cats are a huge no for me - I do like to chase them - I swear they tell me to chase them - my foster mum tells me they are not asking me to chase them.
Kids - I love kids so much! I love playing with them, I love snoozing with them, I love chillaxing with them - I will even help them do their homework if I can! Just love them!
Some of my favorite things to do is play fetch, tug-a-war etc - i love to play
I also love to go for a walk or even just sit with you while your having a cup of coffee and relaxing.
I am house trained but nervous around the doggy door so I've taught my foster dad to open the door for me any time I need to go out - but if your happy to work with me I can learn.
I am a girl who has learnt to enjoy the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners.
I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link
https://goo.gl/forms/PqpkCcE89ikDR2Lw1
Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
