Jewel

Jewel is one of a colony of cats that have been living in Burnie. They had started out as a small number of undesexed cats living in a home with an owner. Soon, they began to breed and have litter after litter with the owner unable to keep track of them all. Neighbours began to notice and when they asked around, no one claimed any of the cats. The Animal Care Centre in Spreyton is a Cat Management Facility, and will always accept stray and feral cats.

Jewel has now been deseed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms. She is a gorgeous young girl who has had to fend for herself, but would rather be a quiet house cat with a doting family and somewhere safe and warm to spend her life.
