About Dozer ~ Boxer X Mastiff Puppy(On Trial 30/04/21)
Hi My name is Dozer, I am a 8 week old Boxer x mastiff puppy boy and I am looking for my forever home. I currently live with my 3 brothers and we are having so much fun playing rough and tumble in our foster home with our foster doggy friends, we have just had our first vaccinations and are ready to go to a beautiful loving family. I am going to be a big boy but I am sweet, loving, affectionate and gentle. I love my toys but I love playing chase and tackle more. I’m a bit of a sooky boy and love a big cuddle more than anything, the more attention the better.
I will grow up to be a large dog, and will need to attend puppy training classes and continued obedience training due to our size and breed. We are at the puppy stage where we are biting a lot and chewing things so we need consistency in our training. We will also need a family that understands we will need a daily walk and mental stimulation to keep as healthy and happy.
We are very snuggly but active puppies who love our humans and would love to go to a home where we are welcomed inside. It would be great if someone worked part time in the household, particularly if there isn’t another dog to hang out with. These pups will make lovely family dogs but children under 8 years won’t be suitable. Secure 5-6ft fencing will be needed with no small gaps, unfortunately rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.
Before applying for one of us, I have some questions for you to consider:
-Have you thought about loving and caring for me for the next 12-15 years - maybe even longer ?
-I am a furever dog not just a COVID dog
-I won’t be a little puppy for long and will get up to mischief as I become a teenager. Are you ready for that?
-Have you thought about my extra puppy meals throughout the day?
-Will somebody be home more often than not to keep me socialised?
-I will most likely be a large adult so do you have solid and tall fencing (5-6 foot) to keep me safe?
-I won’t suit an apartment , courtyards or a small yard. I need a medium to large yard to play and rumble in!
-Have you thought about my ongoing physical training and mental stimulation (enrichment games) so that I don't get bored and destructive?
-Will I have access to inside at all times to ensure that I am a part of your family?
I'm watching and learning from you from the moment I open my eyes. Being inside means that I will learn what leads to praise and reward and what doesn't. Being under supervision also means I learn boundaries (crucial as I grow older) and means I am less likely to develop nuisance behaviours due to boredom.
