Lilliith is a gentle young lady looking for a calm household where she can spend plenty of time with her humans. Around the house, she is an absolute couch potato and is more than happy to spend the whole day lazing about at your feet or doing her own thing. Nothing makes her happier than getting a pat and having her humans’ company, so she will need a home where she isn’t left alone too often. Working from home? Too bad. Pats come first. Computer second.
She would best suit a home with an older dog with a similar temperament or as an only dog. She has been living in foster care with a 1-year-old Great Dane X pup who she doesn’t mind being around, but she will happily tell him to leave her alone when he gets a bit too bouncy or excited. Although young pups are a bit iffy – she’s great with young humans! In her foster home she spent a day with a calm 1-year-old child and 4-year-old and loved the attention.
Lilith can get quite distressed when left alone so needs someone home a lot or who can take her with them on their daily activities. She wants to be by your side at all times, following her foster parents from one room to another to see what they’re doing. She’ll need work slowly learning how to be alone for longer periods of time and will need a secure yard as she’s been known to try to get out and find her humans.
When meeting new people, she’s a little reserved at first and will bark but she quickly realises that visitors are good and will accept all the love and treats they can give.
Lillith LOVES to go on walks and as soon as she hears the word, she’s bum-wiggles galore. She will require some ongoing training to work on her etiquette on lead. She’s a very strong girl and will pull when she’s excited, or when she sees another dog.
She knows some basic commands but she would really love to find a forever home that will continue working on her training and will help her build her confidence so she can learn how to be silly and play. She hasn’t shown a lot of interest in toys, but is very food motivated and will always sit politely when there’s a treat on offer!
