About Dexter
Hi my name is Dexter
My sisters and I came into care about 2 weeks ago - our foster mum says we are gorgeous pups but we were so timid and scared that we spent the first 48 hours huddled in our crate not wanting to eat or come out to see anyone.
Our foster mum made sure we felt really safe and we started to slowly come out and see the world - there was a few false starts and we would run back to our crate - and then our foster mum brought out something magic - it was called 'pizza'
We know pizza is not what is recommended for a scared pup that has a belly full of worms and had come into care covered in fleas but our foster mum was beside herself with worry for us and she resorted to trying anything.
After that we started to come out of our shell more and more - we still get nervous when new people come over or loud noises but we are starting to blossom and our foster mum says once we gain our confidence and know we are safe and loved we are just going to smash it in life.
We are currently in foster care with some other fur kids - big and small, and they are young and old - and we are doing so well with them - mum definitely thinks that we will do better with another dog to learn and socialise with (follow their cues with people and behavior)
Our foster mum has asked if your interested put an application in but she will be updating my profile each week as my personality grows - She has said that you will never regret adopting us.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
