About Ruby ~ 4yr Old Greyhound(On Trial 01/05/21)
Hi, my name is Ruby, I am a beautiful 4-year-old female Greyhound. My foster mum says I look so cute with my white chest and white “socks” for feet.
My favourite thing in the whole world is cuddles. I love to cuddle up to my humans in bed or on the lounge and will also snuggle into my foster siblings on the dog beds at night.
The next best thing in the world is sleeping. I am happy to sleep with company or unattended for around 18 hours a day.
I love my food and will let you know 5 minutes before breakfast and dinner that food time is close. I am best fed separately otherwise I will try and sneak in more dinners if the bowls are unattended or unfinished.
On the rare occasion I am not sleeping, I like to play with my foster sibling in the yard and will do a few “zoomies”. I am a big fan of playing with all types of toys and will fetch. This usually lasts for 10-15 minutes before I am tired and ready for naps.
I am good on the lead. I do not pull or bark. I do get excited when I see anything small or fluffy, so I am best kept on the leash and supervised. I only need a 15-30 minute walk a day. Any longer and I will be too tired.
I am toilet trained and will stand at the back door when I need to go. If the humans do not see me, I will come and collect them and get them to follow me to the back door.
I would be best suited to a quiet, laidback person, couple or family who are keen to lounge around and cuddle up to me on the weekends. I am happy to be left alone or have a companion to keep me company.
As a Greyhound, I feel the temperature more than other dogs so I will need to be an indoors dog with access to the backyard. When it gets cold at night, I need a jumper and blankets on my bed to keep me warm.
My new family must have no small dogs, cats, or pocket pets.

Ruby is currently in foster care in Raymond Terrace NSW. If you would like any more information, please contact her foster carer Vanessa at vanessa.garvin@hotmail.com
My adoption fee is $300 which provides me with all the needed vet work for me to go to my new home safely and healthy. I am desexed, vaccination and treated for worms and fleas.
