About Goose
Meet Goose!
Rescued from Campbelltown pound and currently based in Redfern, he is keen to find his human/s and forever home.
Goose can walk on a loose leash, has good general obedience, and knows several commands; all of which he is happy to show off in a quiet and familiar environment. New people and busy places are very stimulating still, so continued communication on walks is work in progress as he learns to self-regulate his excitement. Very much a typically bouncy puppy, he is making great progress on the vital socialisation he missed out on when younger and is looking forward to meeting more dog friends in well managed 1:1 interaction which can lead to play dates. On these occasions his goofy exuberance really shines through and is so gorgeous to see.
Goose has been benefiting from R+ positive training and it's important that this continues to help him grow into the calmest and most confident boy he can be. For the time being, he is enjoying leash walks, tug, fetch, and mental stimulation with obedience training and nose work; and learning his manners in an occasional fenced dog park scamper with a known and trusted buddy when it's quiet. Too much grass can make him a bit itchy anyway, so no need for long treks in large parks etc, and his raw diet helps a lot with that too.
A big time snuggle bug with the sweetest smile, he will make you laugh every day. Definitely an inside dog, he loves playing with his toys and snoozing on the couch - especially if there is some relaxing music on! He needs a patient owner who has experience or is eager to learn and work with him to provide lots of controlled positive experiences. House trained and comfortable on his own during the day, he has been happily dwelling in an apartment. He would be fine with a confident and non-reactive sibling to show him the ropes and wrestle with at home, but would also thrive as an only dog; providing he gets lots of quality time with his pack.
Fetching Dogs is helping Goose's owner with finding a new home for him. This will be a private rehoming directly with the owner.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
