About Ayta
“Ayta” and her litter mates had a slow start to socialising and can be shy when meeting new people and other dogs, their new families will need to patiently build their confidence with positive meeting experiences.
Ayta is very food motivated (needs a slow feeder bowl) but will be very trainable and work well for treats. She does like to finish her food quickly and go snooping to her foster brother’s bowl but will back off if told to.
Ayta is shy at first meet and will take a few hours to warm up to her new human but after that initial warm up period she will be a total smooch and loves nothing more than lots of loves and cuddles from her human. She likes to play with other dogs and would be fine with Kids that arent over the top excited or roudy.
Ayta is a very clever girl who already knows some commands including sit and stay. She is quite sassy and sometimes cheeky and will let you know if she isn’t happy about something(husky talk). She is doing well with toilet training but will need reminders.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.
IF YOU CAN TICKALL THE BELOW BOXES, PLEASE POP IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR US TO CONSIDER.
• You have a good size yard with shady areas.
Ayta will not be alone more than 5hrs.
• You will allow a Ayta to be part of the family and allow her access to indoors.
• You WILL enrol her in obedience training.
• You WILL provide her with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
• You HAVE experience with her breeds or have thoroughly researched them.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer Ayta will be considered. Please note if you provide basic details only, we will be unable to process your application sorry.
Adoption details
All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
