About Kara
“Kara” and her litter mates had a slow start to socialising and can be shy when meeting new people and other dogs, their new families will need to patiently build their confidence with positive meeting experiences. Kara is one of the more confident of the litter and is happier to meet new challenges head on. She is an alpa female so needs to be shown leadership by her people and provided with boundaries
Kara is a clever girl and already knows a number of commands including sit, down, shake, and will wait for food. She is crate trained for night sleeping (after a few minutes of telling you she wants to stay up later) She is doing really well with toilet training with consistent reminders.
She likes a mix of indoor and outdoor time and loves walks and exploring her environment. Some tough toys for her to chew on will be good as she loves to have a good old chew on them.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.
IF YOU CAN TICKALL THE BELOW BOXES, PLEASE POP IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR US TO CONSIDER.
• You have a good size yard with shady areas.
• Kara will not be alone more than 5hrs.
• You will allow a Kara to be part of the family and allow her access to indoors.
• You WILL enrol her in obedience training.
• You WILL provide her with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
• You have experience with her breeds or have thoroughly researched them.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer Kara will be considered. Please note if you provide basic details only, we will be unable to process your application sorry.
Adoption details
All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
