About John ~ 6 week old kitten
Meet John! This little lad is 6 weeks old and will steal your heart. His mum was a Ragdoll x Siamese and he has the typical chilled out and placid personality of a Ragdoll. While most kittens go rigid and wriggle when you pick them up, John just hangs out and takes it.
This little guy is an old soul and is so affectionate. He loves to nap wherever he puts his head down and is a little purr machine. He loves to run, play and climb like all kittens do but he definitely enjoys cuddles with his humans and his little friend Nancy more than anything.
John would love to be adopted with his friend Nancy who is also listed for adoption. Nancy came to her foster carer a week before John did and they were both so excited to meet each other when John arrived! They may not be blood related but they sure do act like brother and sister. You can see Nancy’s profile here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/845393
Nancy is a wild child with a lot of energy and regularly has John pinned down. John’s personality balances out Nancy’s perfectly. They love to race around the house chasing each other and then curling up for a cuddle when they get tired. You could watch them play and cuddle all day.
While we would love for these two to be adopted together, it isn’t mandatory but we would prefer for them to go to homes with another cat if not together. It is recommended by cat behaviouralists that kittens have a playmate and forever friend for an enriched life. The are colony animals in the wild and thrives on fellow feline company. Our past adopters can attest to the fact that two kittens/cats is better than one!
John and Nancy are both very confident and friendly kittens and have been exposed to dogs and other cats. The aren't phased by much so would be suited to pretty much any home as long as children are over 5 years old and any dogs in the house are calm and cat friendly. They are litter trained and have very healthy appetites.
John and Nancy are available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only and their adoption fee is $450 for both or $250 for one. They will be ready for adoption from 18th April 2021.
John & Nancy are in foster care in Mayfield West, NSW and will be vaccinated and microchipped in the coming weeks but will need desexing at a DRN affiliated vet before they are 4 months old, which will be covered by their adoption fee.
