About Comet
Comet - male - 12 month old - red heeler x boxer.
He is a beautiful natured and placid boy. Good with other dogs and came from a home where his doggy pal was a Jack Russell Terrier. He has also been with other dogs while in foster care.
He’s not a fence jumper, digger or chewer.
Good with kids but can jump up when he’s excited. We have been working on that. Best suited to children over 10yo.
He knows basic commands sit, shake hands and high five. He is okay on lead. Loves the water and travels well in the car. He plays fetch beautifully - bringing back the ball every time.
He’s in the process of being house trained with no accidents inside of late. He sleeps outside.
Comet loves human company and would make a great companion animal as he doesn’t like being left alone.
We are looking for a forever home where he has someone home during the day or another doggy pal to interact with.
In the words of his foster mum “whoever adopts Comet - it will be like winning the lottery!”
He doesn't like cats...

Adoption details
All dogs are vet checked, desexed, microchipped, C3 vaccinated, wormed, heartworm and flea/tick treated.
ADFC house all dogs with foster carers in private homes. This allows them to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial - $50 deposit. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they will be returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please send us a message.
The committee and carers of ADFC are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
