Hello. Milo is my name and loving is my game. I am a super affectionate young boy who just loves to snuggle up on laps or lie around your feet.
I may only be small, but I am all heart. I am devoted to making sure you always have a companion by your side and a friend to hug if you are ever feeling low. I would be a perfect companion dog for an older person or a child needing a friend. I love people of all ages and am not a nibbler or a jumper. Well, I do like to jump up and down in one spot, but I don't jump on people.
'Clever' is my middle name! I can sit, drop and come... stay is still a work in progress, but I am learning. I have very good recall and am even learning how to beg! Oh, and of course, I am house trained.
I currently live in a foster home filled with dogs of all ages and sizes. I am VERY comfortable with all of them now, but when I first met them, I was very unsure. I would bark at the big boxer (who is now my very best friend) and didn't want to play with the pups at all, but now we play all day together. I do like the cat, although when she won't play with me, I sometimes bark at her trying to get her moving.
Even though I am now comfortable with all the doggy friends in my foster home, I get very nervous meeting new dogs. On a walk, I will just pretend that I can't see them, but when I have to come up close and greet them, I can be very scared.
I am looking for a very special family who will understand that I may take time to get to know a new dog and who will be patient while I do. I need someone to love me and understand that I am only small and can feel intimidated by new dogs at first. It's not that I don't like them... I am just a little shy.
I am a rather quiet boy. If another dog comes up to steal my food, I will just step back and let them eat it. I have lovely manners and I only bark when there is someone new at the door, or at the postman. I am not a big barker like some smaller dogs can be which my foster mum is very happy about.
Could you love me as much as my foster mum does? Please come and meet me. I would love to meet you too!
Love, Milo
