Hi there, my name is Mya. I’m a gentle, quiet soul who is getting used to indoor life. I’ve been a working dog on a big property until recently, but it wasn’t really the life for me, so now I’m looking to live out my years ahead as your beloved companion.
I’m a little timid at first in new situations. Spending time indoors is quite new to me, and there a few rules I need to get used to (like not jumping onto the laundry counter to eat the cat’s biscuits), but I’m adjusting quickly. I have had a few accidents inside but my foster mum is confident that I’ll figure out the whole toilet thing pretty quickly because I’m a clever girl and eager to please.
I’m a very gentle-natured girl and rarely make any noise. I’m not the type of dog who will jump all over you and try to lick your face, but I will show you my affection by following you around, sitting quietly by your side and leaning in close for more pats (I love pats).
I get on well with my foster dog sister, I was a bit reserved at first but now I love to have a play and a wrestle with her. My foster mum also has two cats who are very interesting to me - I watch them quite intently, and do quietly follow them around the house sometimes (it’s my herding nature), but I’ve never once growled or chased them or upset them. I just like to watch, I swear!
I would be best suited to a home with high fences as I can definitely jump! I also need to be exercised daily because I’m used to an active life and I love to run (I follow my foster mum right on her heels, even without the leash on, when she takes me for a run). I am going to make a lucky person or family a very loyal pet!
