Hi there. I’m Honey! 💖💖
I'm a 3-year old Kelpie cross Husky.
Foster mum says I'm a sweetie that loves cuddles..
I'm good with kids but would be best with kids over 5-years of age. I need a home that understands that active working type breeds like myself, need ongoing physical and mental stimulation.
I'm an active girl who needs an experienced family that is happy to continue my training and who will set clear rules & boundaries as I do best when I know what is expected of me. I'm a clever girl and love to learn. I have completed 3 weeks of professional board & train. Since coming into foster care I’ve continued my training. I’m food motivated & enjoy my training sessions. I can sit, drop, wait patiently for my food and come when called or to a good whistle. I walk nicely on lead with my Halti. I go on bush & beach walks with my foster family and foster siblings and don’t stray far. I sleep happily in my crate at night, and you won't hear a peep out of me until the morning.
I'm unsure of other dogs when I first meet them, and like most dogs I need a proper introduction. That said, I do really love other dogs and once I know & trust them I'll be their best mate for life. Foster mum says I would do best in a single dog home so I can be the centre of attention, but one that can also ensure lots of doggy play dates as I do really enjoy meeting up with my friends and having a good game of chasey.
I am calm around the resident cats & ignore them.
If you think you can offer me my pawfect forever home, foster mum would love to hear from you.
Love & licks,
Honey. ❤🐾
Medical notes
Honey does have some arthritis in her hips.
