🐶 Misha’s Story 🐶

Misha is a mature lady who came to SoCares as a stray. She had a lump on her hind leg and a smaller one on her chest. Vet advice at that time was that the chest lump was a harmless fatty lump and the leg tumour was cancerous. Rather than have her stay in the pound environment with these issues, Misha was placed into foster care with an angel called Lynne 😇

Following successful surgery to remove both lumps, this is what the vet had to say about Misha’s leg tumour:
“Misha had a soft tissue sarcoma grade 1. Narrow surgical margins. This means there is a SMALL chance that the lump will recur in the local area but very unlikely to metastasise to rest of body, so good outcome. I recommend monitoring closely for any regrowth and if so, the surgery can be repeated to mop up any remaining tumour tissue while it is small.”

Misha is now back at SoCares and looking for her furever home. She’s eleven years young and DEFINITELY no stodgy senior. This beautiful soul loves people, gets on with other dogs and loves to play ball. She’s fabulous to walk, is affectionate and is great company on the lounge at night watching MAFS (😜) or popping out for coffee at your local cafe. She also loves bush walks, if you’re up for it.

Misha’s ideal home would be one with no other pets, so she can be the primary focus of the adoration of her human minions 😂 She would suit a mature household with an active retired couple or single. Misha is not suited to apartment living, as she loves to play and fetch her ball in the backyard 🎾

Misha is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and on flea/tick prevention. SoCares are asking a small adoption fee of $200. If you think you can offer Misha her furever home, please submit an expression of interest.
