About Tanami
Tanami is a great little guy. He is friendly and gentle with humans of all ages, and friendly and playful with other dogs. Tanami has a really lovely personality, and is a dog who bonds quickly with humans. He will be the most faithful and loyal of companions, we are sure. Tanami is currently in a group of male and female dogs from 3 months old, to 12 years old. He gets on with them all and is able to play gently with the littlies, but also enjoy a great game of chasey and play wrestling with the older dogs. He has a moderate exercise requirement, and between walks he is relaxed and peaceful around the house. He walks well on the lead, but is also trustworthy to have a run off lead as well. Tanami is a very smart boy who learns very quickly and does not need a lot of repetition and reinforcement. If he understands what is wanted, he will cooperate. Tanami has had some long trips in the car, which he enjoys. He has also had an overnight stay in the local boarding kennel, where the staff nicknamed him "Mr Manners".
Tanami came into our care after he was badly injured when he was attacked by a pack of dogs in a remote community. He was so sweet to care for, and seemed really grateful. It took a couple of weeks for him to heal up after his surgery and treatment and get his mojo back, but he is now ready to find his forever home. Whoever adopts this lovely boy will love him to bits, we know.
Tanami is currently in foster care in the NT. While our rescue work happens in the NT, our rehoming operation is in South Australia. Tanami is expected to travel to SA in mid April.
