About Poppy
Meet Poppy! Poppy has a very sad story. She came to us after she was left tied to a fence at a local Vet clinic. She had been abandoned by her owners and was in quite a neglected state. We believe Poppy is between 8-10 years old so she is the mid-late stages of her life. Poppy is a medium size cattle dog X and has the most placid, easy going nature. She is a slow mover so would be suited to a home where she receives plenty of love and can lounge around with her humans most days.
Poppy has been Vet checked and appears to have an advanced skin infection from an untreated flea infestation. She is currently on antibiotics and is expected to make a full recovery however this may take some weeks.
We are really hopeful this girl will be given a new chance at life and be able to see out her days in a home where she is genuinely loved and cared for. Behaviorally Poppy is absolutely perfect.
Adoption details
The adoption process at the Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter is relatively easy. We ask that if you are interested in an animal, please apply via pet rescue, the Shelter staff will then review applications and phone selected applicants for a meet and greet. We do not take expressions of interest over the phone.
Once you have been selected as the right applicant for the animal, all that is required by you is to make a payment at the Animal Shelter by eftpos ONLY (Via phone can be arranged after a meet and greet with the animal), provide details for the microchip and registration paperwork and then pick up your future pet from the Council veterinary service provider once they have been de-sexed and vaccinated, if not already desexed and vaccinated (Council staff will advise you when the animal is booked in at the veterinary clinic.
The following are the re-homing fees for dogs and cats,
Entire Dog (to be desexed after adoption) - $280.00
De-sexed Dog (de-sexed by previous owner) - $180.00
Entire Cat (to be desexed after adoption) - $200.00
De-sexed Cat (de-sexed by previous owner) - $125.00

Microchipping (identification details will be placed on the NSW Companion Animal Register)
Lifetime Registration (within NSW)
Vaccination
Worm, flea & tick treatment
Vet Check
De-sexing (if required)
Special adoption pack (Full of goodies)
Please Note: All dogs and cats rescued from the Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter are required to be de-sexed. Dogs and cats will not be sold as entire under any circumstances.
