About Hazel
PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED
Hazel is an affectionate girl who adores the attention of any human - she loves cuddles, pats and belly rubs and would probably be fine in a home with children. She walks well on a lead but prefers short walks only as she has joints aren't as good as they used to be.
In her previous foster home, Hazel was fine to be left alone and she's looking for a new home without cats or pocket pets.
She doesn't enjoy car rides very much but over time and with patience and persistence, she may be able to be trained to enjoy them.
Hazel is very intelligent and picks up new commands easily. She is a little nervous around busy streets and gets alert at the sound of sirens and traffic, so would prefer to not live right beside a busy road. Hazel is most content when she is around humans but she's also calm and enjoys resting when left alone if her humans are out for a few hours.
Hazel has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma and due to this, we are looking for a family to permanent foster her. We will provide her food and flea and worming treatment and take care of all her medical needs (at our Kemps Creek Shelter Vet Clinic) for the rest of her life. We just ask that her new family provides her with a loving, permanent foster home for the time that Hazel has left.
