Rocco

Rocco is a loving 4yr old 30kg Boxer who adores his humans. He is fluent in Italian and has learnt basic commands in English in a very short amount of time.

Although he's prone to excitedly jump the first couple of times of meeting someone, he settles quickly with the firm vocal command of 'DOWN' and 'uh uh!'

He loves kids, but older (10+) or big dog savvy kids are best as he does like full-body hugs and isn't aware of his size.
Rocco is everything a Boxer should be, he's silly, has afternoon zoomies, will grab his lead for walks, loves a game of tug o war and making his toys explode (but doesn't chew other items like bedding and doesn't dig).

Rocco is great for walking and going on runs but can pull at first, he responds well to a firm voice and is eager to please.
He's a bit lazy and likes to be lifted into the car but he's a happy boy and travels well.

He can be protective of his food and must be fed separately to other pets and away from children. This has settled a little as he's realised food is not so hard to come by.

Rocco needs his family to be home often, with daily plays and walks. He would benefit from a fur sibling and adores his Aussie bulldog foster sister.

He will chill most of the day and only bark if someone is around his yard that he does not know. He does not bark unnecessarily but does guard his family.

Rocco is social with other dogs outside of his yard at the park or on walks, he plays like a puppy and comes when he is called.

He has lived mostly outdoors but has responded quite well to toilet training and eventually settles inside... on top of you. Full-body hugs are FULL body hugs! Forget your personal space.

He will require a 6ft secure fence as he has never been in a yard without one.

Rocco is fine with cats as long as they are introduced slowly and properly.

With a little time and lots of chin scratches, this boy will slot into your family and provide lots of laughs and even more love.
