About Jessie ~ 11yr Old Cavalier (On Trial 1/5/21)
Jessie is an 11 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is a shy gentle old lady. When she first came into care, she spent most of her time sheltering under a table, but every day we are seeing more and more of this beautiful lady’s personality.
While she has not been tested with cats or pocket pets, she is currently staying in a home with friendly boisterous dogs who she is interacting with more and more every day. She even now lines up as part of the welcoming committee when her foster family come home from work. A few weeks ago, Jessie would shy away from a pat and hated to be picked up, but now she comes out looking for pats and is even putting her paws up to picked up for a cuddle. She also now sits happily on her foster carers lap while they give her a brush.
Jessie loves her food from her bowl but is still wary of taking treats from your hand, but again she is starting to take them sometimes, so in time we are sure this will change completely.
Jessie is looking for a home where someone one can be patient and give her time and space. We understand that she is not fond of young children, so for this reason she will not be rehomed to a family with children under the age of 12years old.
Jessie is currently located in Singleton. For more information you can contact her carer Darlene email stepbowpet@hotmail.com
