About Simba
Simba is a stunning medium haired cat who came into the rescue after at least 3 years of homelessness. He has adjusted very well and is loving the indoor life – he doesn’t make any attempt to get out of windows or doors.
Given his recent experience he will need a relatively quiet home with no small children as he can be easily startled. He is very scared of dogs and can react badly to them – so a family with no dogs or dog visitors is essential.
He likes the resident cat a lot and wishes she would spend more time with him (she's a bit of a cranky one) - so he may enjoy another cat companion, but this is not essential).
He would be well suited to apartment living and those that work full time. He is more than happy spending his day sleeping in a sunny spot.
He does certainly love a chat in the morning and when you get home – and will keep you company as you go about your home activities.
He doesn’t jump on any benches, tables – he likes to keep his paws on the ground.
He will sleep next to you on your bed if you put him there, but he won’t jump up himself (yet). He has just started jumping up on the sofa to sleep near his foster family.
He loves a brush, a pat and lots of head scratches. Once he trusts you, he can easily be picked up and loves a good cuddle and a pat in your arms – but he is not a lap cat.
With kindness and patience his foster Mum thinks he will become even more affectionate.
He turned 5 in March and is in excellent health. He has been desexed, wormed and will be flea treated before departure from Foster Care.
He eats well and uses the litter box like a pro.
