About Teddy ~ 8mo Staffy X (Adopted On Trial)
Hi my name is Theodore or Teddy for short, and I am a big ball of endless love looking
for the perfect family. I’m a Staffy X just over 8 months old. I am a big boy and will
grow some more, but that only means there is more love and cuddles to give you.
I am looking for the perfect family to soak up all my love and affection. I am a big boy
who is learning very well with food commands and responding to basic training. I can sit
when asked, I can sit for my food and I can stay when asked on the lead (working on the
sitting part) I come when called, and I am learning to go to my bed when my carer asks. I
also know what the word ‘Dinner’ means and this is my favourite part of the day!
I am a big puppy, and will only get bigger and I can sometimes forget how big I am and
get a bit excited, I just love my humans so much I can jump when I first see them, but
calm down after a little bit of love and patting, so older children are more preferrable. My
jumping has reduced so much with training from my carer, I am really quite proud of
myself.
I am a loving and affectionate boy who just loves to be able to be beside my people. I
am house trained so I would love to be welcomed inside the home, just be prepared for
me to sit right beside you and ask for your affection, cuddles and kisses.
I am good with other dogs while on the lead, and I just love to say hello. When I am
walking on my lead, most dogs don’t bother me and neither do people or children, but I
do like to say hello. Birds are ok too but I haven’t met a cat yet! Sometimes I will stop on
the lead and wait until someone walks past me so I know my carer isn’t in any danger.
I am still learning on the lead but sometimes I just want to sniff everything and say hello
to everyone. I like long walks too and a little jog/run at the end makes me happy.
I travel well in the car and I love when my carers take me down to the doggie wash for a
good scrub, I sit still the whole time and am ok with getting my nails done too.
I really just want to be part of the family and everyday life.
I also need a secure yard with fencing at least 1.5m high, as I am only going to get
bigger. I like to play ball chase in the backyard so make sure it has plenty of room for me
to chase. My new family should have a good size yard, plenty of time to walk and play with me and who have time to continue my training so I can grow into an amazing companion. If I can be welcomed inside, that is a bonus!
