About Chewy & Solo ~ 2yr Old Kelpie X(on trial 16/4/21)
Solo and Chewy are the cutest little brothers you could ever imagine. Both are 2-year-old Kelpie x Staffy mixes, however due to their beautiful red coats they could easily be mistaken for little dingoes. These beautiful brothers are so bonded, one of their favourite things to do is curl up together on the couch or run around playing tug-of-war. Solo and Chewy are litter mates and absolutely need to stay together.
Chewy and Solo are the very best of friends. They follow each other everywhere, running around side by side looking very happy to be right beside their best buddy. They are both big sleepy heads, and are always curled up together on a couch or sometimes squished together on a seat with their heads on each other.
Although these brothers look similar, their personalities differ in the most complimentary of ways. Here is a little individual information on both boys:
Solo is the smaller brother, he loves a cuddle and prefers nothing more than curling up on the couch with his foster mum. He rarely barks, seldom digs and is quickly learning how to walk on the lead. Solo has learnt basic commands such as sit, lay, stay and he has learnt how to play fetch. He is quickly learning how to walk on the lead, however he is still very anxious when another dog appears. He is one of the loveliest little doggos ever.
Chewy is the slightly bigger brother, he also loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch with his foster mum. He has more energy than his little brother and looks a little bit more Kelpie-like. Chewy has also learnt basic commands and is currently learning how to play fetch and take treats gently from his foster parents. Chewy is a little goofier on the lead, however he is learning quickly and is very treat-motivated. Chewy has an innocent puppy spirit and is a beautiful, loving boy.
These boys will need to be welcomed inside the house when you are home, however they are very happy to be outside in a dry/warm place during the day. They keep each other company during the day and would suit a working family with a medium sized backyard. These boys have grown up with kids and are very gentle when playing. They would suit a family with children over the age of 5. They are both relatively quiet and do not bark very much at all.
Chewy and Solo are still learning about the big scary world. Before coming into care, they had never been outside. Therefore, their new fur-ever family will need to have the time and patience to teach them how to walk on the lead and slowly socialise them with other dogs. These boys are doing very well with their toilet training; however, accidents do happen from time to time. They are untested with cats and pocket-pets so they would best suit a couple/family without these.
Chewy and Solo are very special boys and will make their new fur-ever family extremely happy.
Please do not apply for Chewy and Solo unless you are willing to adopt both of these boys together. They will not be separated.
