Rocky

Rocky was surrendered to the RSPCA Animal Care Centre with horrible wounds around his neck. His owner suspected that it was a grass seed, but was unable to seek veterinary care.

Rocky had to have surgery to fix the trauma. The vet had to debride the area, but it was very close to his jugular vein making it very complicated. They placed a drain under his skin to help clear the area and Rocky had to be on a course of anti biotics, pain relief and strict bed rest to heal properly. Rocky is only a young pup, so bed rest was not an easy task!

The staff at the Animal Care Centre and the brilliant Veterinary team at Sheffield Vet Clinic have worked hard to get Rocky back to good health, and he is once again a bouncing bundle of fun, looking to take on the world. Rocky will need a family that is prepared to take him to puppy training and put in some time to help him grow into a well behaved young man.
