About Rod
Roddy is a big, handsome, goofy loveball. He loves a cuddle, a play of tug, balls and teddy bears, or just to sit & listen to you chat to him.
This mature gentleman gets along with big & small dogs, male & female.
Currently plays endless tussles with female kelpie he is living with.
However, not a fan with dogs that linger in his face too long.
He travels well in the car, he pulls a little on leash at first, then settles. His recall is good unless theres a cat! Rod chases cats, so no cats please!
He loves an off leash sniff around an oval or a track.
Toilet trained, he will go to the door & whimper to let you know he needs to go out. He sleeps quietly through the night until you get up in the morning.
Roddy has some knee issues that we are currently managing and repairing, he was surrendered as his previous owners could not provide for him.
All details will be fully explained upon application. He will need a little pain management ongoing. His surgery to repair his cruciate ligament in his leg was successful and his recovery is going great!
Rod needs a home where he will go for leisurely strolls in the park (not on footpaths)
or even better, on a large property, his knee will not tolerate the rigours of lengthy exercise.
A mature, stable household that wants to offer this gentleman a quiet place to spend his days is the ideal forever for him.
If you feel you can offer the security and comfort and a little ongoing care that Rod needs to rest his tired body, please come meet him.
A token donation fee to our rescue is all thats being asked for Roddy.
