About Bonnie
Bonnie is a lovely, sweet dog with a very gentle nature. Her foster family have named her Bonnie because she is such a happy girl, always with her tail wagging and a smile on her face when she sees her human and dog friends.
She has been living on a property with 4 other dogs of various sizes and personalities and has fitted in very easily being on the submissive side when approached. Since being with her foster family she has gone from being quite shy and reserved to now being great friends with the other dogs.
Bonnie is unfortunately not fond of horses and cattle, not so much aggressive but more anxious as she is unsure of what they are so continuously barks at them. I'm sure with training she would become better but maybe would suit a family with only dogs.
Bonnie has been living with 3 young children and absolutely loves them, she would definitely be an asset to a family with children.
She does need some more training walking on a lead. She is quite anxious about being restrained as she has probably never been on a lead before and is learning to trust people around her. Her foster family are working on this and she is getting better each day, but she will need someone who can do some gentle training with her as this is what she is responding to, slow and steady and down at her level.
Saying that, when she is on the lead she walks by your side and only gets worried when there is pressure on the lead, so would be dangerous near a road etc as she can pull out of her collar so she will definitely need a harness for walking.
